Mountainsmith said the Sanitas Group has won its 2010 Anvil Award for Agency of the Year. In a flat market, the group, headed up by industry veterans Keith Reis and Andy Anderson, led a surge in sales and market share in their Rocky Mountain territory to secure the honor, Mountainsmith said. The announcement was made by Jay Getzel, director of sales and marketing for the Colorado-based supplier of outdoor packs and bags.

A strong work ethic, combined with exemplary product and service back-up, enabled the group to take home the honor. In the two years that they have been in sales with Mountainsmith, they have grown the region by 40% and exceeded their 2010 sales goal by nearly 30%. Both Keith and Andy had held prior positions within the company that gave them a head start when they took over the territory.

“Keith and Andy logged hundreds of critical hours in 2010 behind the windshield to meet face to face with shop owners and employees in an era when the majority of communication is done electronically,” commented Jay. “Additionally, the overall bandwidth of their team and capacity for dealing with the administrative demands of doing business with key accounts has been instrumental in their growth”.

“We are very grateful to Mountainsmith for this recognition,” said Reis. “It really is a testament to their whole team. They aggressively supported our Rocky Mountain retailers and the retailers responded in kind. We appreciate the recognition, but hats off to Mountainsmith for giving us the tools to have this level of growth.”
