Twenty-year outdoor industry professional Sally McCoy has launched a new financial advisory services firm, Silver Steep Partners, LLC. The specialty firm is the first of its kind, providing strategic and financial advice to the specialty outdoor and sports lifestyle markets regarding mergers, acquisitions and the placement of private capital.
McCoy notes, “In the past, there has not been an industry-specific, knowledgeable source for financial advisory services to the outdoor industry. Silver Steep Partners will be that source. In my experience, many small to mid-sized companies in our industry need capital for growth or a plan for the entrepreneur to exit. Larger companies will benefit from our advice on strategic acquisitions. Our expertise comes from knowing the people, the brands, the retailers, the customers and our ability to advise our clients on various financing alternatives.”
The Silver Steep Partners team will focus on the outdoor, snowsports, cycling and active lifestyle areas.
McCoy, best known for her former roles as president of Sierra Designs and Vice President at The North Face, is a recognized leader in the outdoor arena. She is a founding member of the Conservation Alliance and former Chair of the Outdoor Industry Association.
