Citing a faulty detect button, Simms Fishing Products has issued a voluntary recall on certain 2010 model Wading Staffs sold through authorized Simms dealers from March 1, 2010 through June 17, 2010.
Simms found that affected wading staffs have a detect button that may not engage or can become dislodged making the staff inoperable.
About 2,000 affected products were sent to retailers and Simms estimates about 1,000 have been purchased by consumers. Affected staffs range in two sizes (52″ & 56″), are sterling silver in hue and easily identifiable by a silver cable connector.
Simms is urging consumers to return related product for a full refund or replacement.
