Rawlings recently announced the promotion of three sales and marketing executives and a new HR chief.

The changes reflect the new roles that each has taken since Jarden’s acquisition of K2 in the Fall of 2007 and the subsequent formation of Jarden Team Sports.

Mike Thompson was appointed SVP of Sports Marketing, where he is responsible for:

  • Major and Minor League baseball; all amateur organizations (such as NCAA, ABCA, ASA, USSSA, and Little League) advisory staff, and league adoptions.
  • International Business including our Japanese Licensing partner ASICS
  •  New Business Development to include new markets and new products for future development.

Mark Barry has been named SVP of Retail Sales and assumed three additional responsibilities:

  •  Sales of JT Sports and Licensed Products
  •  Rawlings Retail Store development
  •  Ball park concessions management

Sally Yeast has been promoted to VP of Sales Operations. She had served many roles at Rawlings, including her last role as Director of Sales Operations.  In this capacity she revitalized the customer service department.  Other notable accomplishments include forming the Retail Analyst department, establishing a customer service and order entry department in Costa Rica, and cross training employees between hard goods and apparel.  She also has brought a more advanced and analytical approach to managing the sales process.

Also, Rawlings accounced that Rita Carel has been promoted to VP of Human Resources. Since joing Rawlings Group more than four years ago, Rita has played an integral role on multiple integration projects.  Rita will assume responsibility for Human Resources for all brands under the Jarden Team Sports umbrella.  She will manage benefits, compensation, placement, training, and all employee services.
