PROBAR has appointed Matt Jimenez to the position of Natural Foods and Outdoor Channel Sales Manager in the PROBAR senior team. Jimenez joined PROBAR in September 2008 as Product Development Manager and has displayed impressive skills that will assist PROBAR with continued growth. His deeply imbedded passion for food joined with his noteworthy resume makes him a perfect candidate for the position.

Early career positions for Jimenez included working as a sous chef and baker before taking a transition to the retail grocery market. In 1998, he began working at the Whole Foods Market in Austin, TX climbing the ladder and assuming leadership ranks in the grocery department. In 2003, he left Whole Foods to assume a position as account manager at a brokerage firm; however Whole Foods Southeast was his main account. It was during this time that Jimenez was exposed to mass market grocers, independents, local marketing agencies and distribution centers. In 2005, Jimenez returned to Whole Foods working as the Regional Grocery Promotions Coordinator for the Southwest region. In September, 2008 Jimenez came on board with PROBAR as Product Development Manager.

“I feel great about my new responsibilities. Not only do I get to continue my work with product development, but I also get to utilize my experience in the natural food industry by working directly with some of our key retailers and sales reps,” said Jimenez.

Jimenez met PROBAR president Jules Lambert in 2007 and was immediately impressed with PROBARs product line and their commitment to natural foods and grassroots style approach to business and management.

“His love of food and extensive work in the natural food market, especially Whole Foods, has bonded perfectly with PROBARs mission to create simple, delicious food,” said Lambert.

The Natural Foods and Outdoor Channel are areas that need specific attention due to PROBARs immense growth within the past year.

“PROBAR has tremendous opportunity and with our success we will continue to drive forward innovation in the natural food arena,” stated Jimenez.
