Today, Matador Travel Equipment and Volcom released its Matador X Volcom Collaboration. Combining Volcom’s heritage in the surf community and Matador’s expertise in lightweight travel, the collaboration offers ultralight, packable solutions with its Packable Towel Poncho and Beach Towel.

“Through this collaboration with Matador for Volcom’s 30th Anniversary, we are improving the surfing experience with two innovative products designed to meet the everyday needs of the surf community,” said Wesley Chu, senior vice president, Sports, Street and Active, Authentic Brands Group.

The Matador X Volcom Packable Towel Poncho is constructed of nanofiber and features a drawstring hood with a snap-button collar and a hidden pass-through in the kangaroo pocket for the wearer to remove a wet bathing suit under the cover of the cloak. A zippered pocket offers storage for small items and serves as a storage pouch for the poncho when not in use.

The Matador X Volcom Packable Beach Towel is a compact and absorbent solution to keeping a full-size beach towel on hand. Made from a quick-drying, ultralight nanofiber material that is capable of absorbing up to 2.3 times its own weight in water, the towel features a hidden zippered pocket for storing small items, which also inverts to serve as the towel’s storage pouch.

Both products from the Matador X Volcom surf accessory collection were designed for maximum efficiency with the traveling surfer in mind. The Packable Towel Poncho and Beach Towel can easily fit into the pocket of a beach bag or backpack when folded. The products are machine-washable and are offered in two colorways: Charcoal and Stoney Bolinas.

“With Volcom’s renowned history in the surf community and our prowess in designing travel equipment, we’ve created some highly capable products for your beach adventures,” said Chris Clearman, founder and CEO, Matador. “We’re thrilled to launch this collaboration for Volcom’s 30th Anniversary, and we look forward to many surf missions ahead.”
