POC, the Swedish action sport brand owned by Black Diamond Inc., announced that its North American office will relocate from Aspen, CO to Park City, UT in early November.

“Aspen has been good to POC North America, but it has become increasingly evident that a move to Park City will improve our ability to serve our retail and other partners, states POCs director of marketing and promotions for North America,” Willie Ford. “The region is a hotbed for outdoor-enthusiast professionals and, given our plans to expand our U.S. workforce, we will benefit from a strong candidate pool and major transportation hub in Salt Lake City. Paired with its proximity to renowned road and mountain biking, as well as the USSA Center of Excellence, home to the U.S. Ski Team and a number of our sponsored athletes, Park City was an obvious choice as we considered our options for a relocation.”

Park City is also within an hour’s drive of Salt Lake City, home to Black Diamond’s global headquarters and the Outdoor Retailer trade shows.

The brand expects to expand its personnel in the near-term, starting with a U.S. sales manager for its Snow division, which will be filled in the Utah office.

Since being acquired by Black Diamond, POC has expanded from making ski helmets to offering bicycle helmets and apparel.
