Outdoor Research raised more than $6800 for Friends of the Avalanche Center at its fourth annual VertFest. The uphill/downhill race took place at Alpental Ski Area on March 6, 2010.

Organized by Outdoor Research and sponsored by Alpental Ski Area, Pro Guiding Service and Osprey Packs, VertFest attracted a record-breaking 104 competitors.

“Since the first VertFest, our goal has been to support the Friends of the Northwest Weather and Avalanche Center and to provide a fun event for our community of fun-loving, adventurous, and energetic outdoor adventurers,” said Christian Folk, spokesperson for Outdoor Research. “The sunshine, the snow, and the racers made this event one of the most memorable and successful ever. With our record-breaking crowd, we were able to raise the most money to date with this event!  Also, with the 100 plus competitors this is now the largest Randonee rally in the Northwest!”
