True Temper Sports, the golf shaft manufacturer, promoted Jason Jenne to the role of senior vice president and chief operating officer for the company. In his new role, Jenne will direct all of True Temper’s global production and manufacturing activities as well as oversight for the company’s Amory, Mississippi and China facilities located in Guangzhou and Suzhou.

Jenne had previously served as True Temper’s Chief Financial Officer for the past five years and has a strong manufacturing background and experience with the Emerson Electric Company in addition to True Temper Sports.

Jenne’s promotion is one of three recent organizational changes True Temper has made to continue to support its global growth and leadership position. Joe Lyons has been promoted to the role of Vice President of Finance to direct all accounting and global finance activities for the company, and Jeremy Erspamer has been promoted to Vice President of Supply Chain and Global Planning to lead True Temper’s global customer service, logistics and inventory management.

“Jason, Joe and Jeremy’s promotions recognize their increasing responsibilities and contributions to True Temper’s past and recent success,” says Scott Hennessy, president and CEO of True Temper. “Our sales were up over 60 percent during the first quarter of 2010, and we expect to see the business climate continue to rebound this year as we implement our aggressive growth initiatives. As we prepare for expansion, the strategic and operational experience they each bring to their new roles will better position our company for continued success in the global marketplace.”
