Despite the economy's alarming state, OGIO reports that it will promote Tom Gocke to VP/global golf and Nick Wright to VP/global ASI (ad specialty industry) due to one of its most successful sales spikes in its 20-year history.

“These appointments are the next in a number of steps we've taken to tighten our org chart; to streamline operations and to further align our business units around industry passion and talent,” Wunderli explains. “Both Tom and Nick have been instrumental in helping our company gain a foothold as leaders in their respective categories. Through this restructuring, they'll add full P&L oversight for their global divisions, expanding their reach far beyond sales and marketing.”

Gocke has been with OGIO for three years as the company's director of global golf. Under Gocke's leadership, the company's golf division has significantly improved its distribution base, revenues and gross margins. Golf continues to be a pillar of growth and profitability at OGIO and is slated to be one of the company's largest divisions. The company also makes gear bags for skate, snowboard and surf.

Wright has led the company's ASI team as its national sales manager for the past nine years. Under his direction, ASI has grown from $2 million in sales to now more than $19 million annually. Nick started with the company in 1999 as key account manager and was promoted to national sales manager three months later.
