NexCen Brands, Inc. announced the opening of the first TAF -previously known as The Athletes Foot – franchised store in Africa. The store opened in Gaborone, Botswana, the capital and largest city of the country.
This is the first store to open under the existing TAF master franchise agreement, signed in October 2008, which allows for three stores to be opened in Botswana and Namibia over 10 years.

Chris Dull, President of NexCen Franchise Management, Inc., the franchising subsidiary of NexCen Brands, stated, “Through our master franchise agreement, our partner was able to open the first TAF store in Africa in Game City Mall, which is one of Botswanas busiest and biggest malls. As we build awareness of our brand in this city, we look forward to meeting the footwear needs of the everyday athlete.”
