New Era Cap Co. Inc. has promoted Jim Patterson to the position of Vice President of Global Operations. Mr. Patterson reports to New Era's President, Peter Augustine.

As Vice President of Global Operations, Mr. Patterson will provide strategic guidance to strengthen New Era's domestic manufacturing operations, while managing a resource base of international manufacturers, maintaining quality standards; domestically and globally. Mr. Patterson will ensure that both short and long term plans are in place to drive continuous improvement in the areas of Supply Chain management (i.e. production planning and control, logistics and warehouse management and sourcing/procurement) and worldwide quality control.

Mr. Patterson began his career with New Era as a Payroll Analyst in April 1996, making his first impact when he identified and implemented key systematic improvements within the Human Resources group, becoming integral in working with the plants on HR and piecework initiatives. Early in his tenure, he played a significant role in New Era's manufacturing facilities' day-to-day operations and union contract negotiations, and was promoted to Operations Support Manager. Later he was appointed Director of Domestic Operations, responsible for the overall planning and management of the company's four domestic facilities. As New Era's business grew globally, Mr. Patterson's involvement expanded to include responsibility to the company's global suppliers; growing his operational experience, for which he was awarded a seat on New Era's Executive Team as the VP of Global Operations.

Prior to joining New Era, Mr. Patterson worked for a Buffalo, NY-based health care company, and received a Bachelor degree in Economics from the State University of New York at Buffalo.
