New Balance made a $35,000 donation to Hope For The Warriors to fund sports programming for children of military service members in honor of Armed Forces Day.

The brand made the announcement through a video by New Balance baseball athlete and Washington Nationals Outfielder Adam Eaton who showcased the newly updated 4040v5 cleat in the video in lieu of wearing on the field which retails for the suggested retail price of $115, and $100 for the turf version.

New Balance has a long history of supporting the military and this donation allows the brand to extend that support to military kids who need financial assistance. While schools and baseball are on hold right now, this donation represents the commitment of both New Balance and Hope For The Warriors to work now in order to create a better tomorrow for military families.

“As I unbox the New Balance 4040v5 cleats, gold bottoms and a camo pattern, they are a true testament to our military,” said Adam Eaton. “I think about my mom and dad who both served and my brother that currently serves. I have a great appreciation for the military and I just wanted to thank everyone out there again for sacrificing. Men, women and children. Thank you so much for what you’ve done for us and what you will do in the future.”

“We’re honored to work with New Balance to ensure military children are able to get back in the game when the time is right,” said Robin Kelleher, co-founder and CEO/president of Hope For The Warriors. “New Balance’s support helps further our mission to restore self, family, and hope to military families across the country.”
