Mizuno USA and Mizuno Canada, subsidiaries of Mizuno Corporation, have
announced their commitment to raise funds to support the reconstruction
projects of Japan; offering to match employee cash donations to the
American Red Cross Japan Earthquake and Tsunami Relief Fund.
In addition, Mizuno USA and Mizuno Canada will donate a substantial amount of product from their baseball, softball, running, and golf apparel and footwear to the victims of the tragedy.
Mizuno will also be launching an online auction through eBay, which will feature sports equipment autographed by top Mizuno PGA Tour Staff members as well as top Mizuno Major League Baseball Brand Ambassadors. All proceeds for these items will go directly to the Red Cross Relief Fund.
This effort from Mizuno USA and Mizuno Canada, follows a generous act from Mizuno Corporation of Japan, which donated 30 million yen (approximately $370,000 USD) to relief efforts, as well as over 20,000 articles of clothing and footwear.
