MidwayUSA promoted Dan Stokes to the position of database manager.

Stokes began his career at MidwayUSA in April 2007 as an application developer after earning his Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Columbia College. He has led several teams over the years, working as application manager for merchandising, logistics and most recently customer support.

“I am very excited to take on this new role of database manager after nearly 10 years on the software side of the house,” said Stokes. “I hope to help further integrate these two processes in an effort to grow our customers’ satisfaction with MidwayUSA’s products and services.”

In his new position, Stokes will be responsible for the maintenance and performance of the database environment. He will work closely with the application development, network, server administrator and web teams in order to ensure enforcement and sustainability of database designs.

“Dan’s software development experience and great systems perspective will prove to be invaluable as our new database manager,” said Joel Felton, VP of information systems. “His ability to develop and execute a plan, along with his reputation of working well with multiple project stakeholders, makes him a perfect fit with the database management process.”
