Lids has opened its latest retail store, Lids HD, in Los Angeles, CA, at Cerritos Mall and will celebrate with a grand opening event from March 28-29.
Following the launch of the e-commerce LidsHD.com website and corresponding store openings in Queens, NY; St. Louis, MO; and Houston, TX, the brand’s expansion to Los Angeles, at the site of the Lids HD LA store, will include exclusive headwear drops and merchandise from local teams.
Located at Cerritos Mall, the store is 1,055 square feet and has digital screens showcasing Lids’ content and highlighting the latest product drops, on-site customization, feature tables highlighting new products, and other consumer-centric details. The store also displays a mural made by multimedia artist Joshua Vides.
Lids’ HD store concept caters to headwear enthusiasts and consumers who are starting to build their collections by leaning toward exclusive and limited-edition hat drops.
The first exclusive hat to drop during the Cerritos Mall store’s grand opening will be the Uniform Pinwheel 5950, which incorporates each MLB team’s home and away jersey with the front two panels reflecting the teams’ away jersey with a team wordmark and the right-side panel reflecting their home uniform. The back and left panels are their primary team color.
