LEKI recently won first place at the 2005 Summer International Trade Show for Sports Equipment and Fashion (ISPO) Outdoor Awards. LEKI's new, patented Nordic Walking model, the Pacer Vario, won in the outdoor sector, hardware category. The Pacer Vario poles are adjustable, in order to fit each walker. It is available in six different lengths and each pole can be adjusted within a range of 10 cm (+/- 5 cm).

The ISPO outdoor awards represent the most innovative outdoor products for
summer 2005. Innovation, function, quality, technical solution,
user-friendliness, operability and, design were the key criteria upon which
the decisions of the international jury consisting of representatives of
the retail trade, trade media, the DAV and Messe München GmbH were based.

“LEKI actively promotes the correct technique of Nordic Walking and use of
authentic Nordic Walking Poles,” said Greg Wozer, vice president, LEKI USA. “Uneven terrain, training intensities, and the type of ground are just some
of the factors that play a key role in achieving the perfect length of pole,
which is essential for proper Nordic Walking.”

LEKI will introduce the Pacer Vario Nordic Walking Poles, as well as a
complete new line of Adjustable Nordic Walking Poles, this August at the
Outdoor Retailer Show in Salt Lake City, and the Health and Fitness Business
Show in Denver.
