Gravis Expands Management Team…

Gravis footwear has added three new Director-level employees as part of a new emphasis by the Burton senior management team on the division. Anne-Marie Dacyshyn is the new Director of Product Marketing, Jason Heffron is the new Director of Marketing Communications, and Gregg Duffy is the new Director of Design and Development.

Before starting the Mission Control agency, Heffron worked as one of the lead Creative Directors at McElroy: FCB, an advertising agency with clients such as Vans, PacSun, Activision, and Mammoth Mountain. In his new role with Gravis he will direct all global branding efforts.

Duffy came to Gravis from Saucony Inc. in July where he served as their Senior Director of Design. Prior to that, he was the Design Director at Puma, N.A.
Dacyshyn is a five year Gravis veteran. She will be responsible for line planning and merchandising for all global markets and product categories.

Gravis Footwear is excited to announce key additions to its leadership team.

“We are now in our sixth year and continue to see strong growth in Japan and key specialty markets in the USA & Europe” says Brian Moore, General Manager, Gravis Footwear. “The Burton Snowboards senior management team decided to make a strong push and invest in experienced industry veterans to lead our functional departments. This should sure up our operational base and put us in an ideal position to capitalize on the growing trend of action sports lifestyle in the footwear market.” The Gravis Leadership now consists of:

Anne-Marie Dacyshyn – Director of Product Marketing. Anne-Marie, a five year Gravis veteran, will move into the expanded role of Director, Product Marketing. In this position she will be responsible for line planning and merchandising for all global markets and product categories.

Jason Heffron – Director of Marketing Communications. Before starting the Mission Control agency, Jason worked as one of the lead Creative Directors at McElroy: FCB, an advertising agency with clients such as Vans, PacSun, Activision, and Mammoth Mountain. In his new role with Gravis he will direct all global branding efforts. He was also previously the Managing Editor of Surfing magazine. Jason will also serve as the global Creative Director.
Tom Berry – Director of Gravis Brand Planning. Tom came to Gravis via a consultancy with The Timberland Company, where he explored new market opportunities. Prior to that he held senior positions within the hi-tech industry. At Gravis Tom will oversee demand planning and will be responsible for positioning the brand against long and short term growth opportunities.

Gregg Duffy – Director of Design and Development. Gregg came to Gravis from Saucony Inc. in July where he recently served as their Senior Director of Design. Prior to that he was the Design Director at Puma, N.A. At Gravis he will direct the development and design efforts of all gravis products including footwear, bags and accessories.

We have one of the strongest snow and surf teams in the industry and now I am confident that our internal management team is of the same caliber.” All positions will report directly to Brian Moore and will be based in Burlington Vermont, the global headquarters of Burton Snowboards.
