Kodiak has increased its trail and urban inspiration for Fall 2021 with its “sniker” collection — a blend of sneaker comfort and aesthetics with a hiker’s performance — and urban boot styles.

“With our snikers, we wanted to blend comfort, performance and a modern look to help consumers get outside no matter the conditions,” said Karen McSorley, senior brand manager, Kodiak. “Our new Kindersleybrings an updated aesthetic to an alpine hiking boot but with sneaker comfort. We are also excited to use PrimaLoft’s P.U.R.E. insulation and Lite Leathers from ISA TanTec, working toward our goal of more environmentally-considered products.”

The Kindersley is a waterproof, alpine-style urban hiker with a padded suede tongue and mesh padded collar combined with PrimaLoft P.U.R.E. insulation, which emits 48 percent less carbon in the manufacturing process. A lightweight, compression-molded EVA midsole and Kodiak Comfortzone ECO footbed keep feet dry with less environmental impact. The Kindersley includes Kodiak’s slip-resistant rubber outsole and 100 percent recycled plastic shoelaces.

The Takla offers Kindersley attributes but in a Chelsea-style hiker. The shoe has Imper-X water-resistant construction, a microfiber lining and heavy gauge pull-loops.

Adding to Kodiak’s “Built For The Trail” collection is the Stave light hiker. The shoe features full-grain waterproof Lite leather and suede, built with a 100 percent recycled plastic lining, mesh collar, tongue, and 50 percent recycled plastic laces. It also features a Kodiak Comfortzone ECO footbed, PrimaLoft P.U.R.E. insulation and Kodiak’s slip-resistant outsole.

The women’s Chadsey and men’s Tagish cold climate boots are built with PrimaLoft P.U.R.E. insulation and Vibram Arctic Grip outsoles for traction. The Chadsey is a waterproof leather winter boot with 100 percent recycled plastic textile and a removable, recycled polyester Ortholite footbed. The Tagish has a waterproof full-grain leather upper, an oversized suede padded comfort collar, and is comfort rated to -20°C/-4°F temperatures.
