Heelys, Inc. has tapped three new Vice Presidents to aid in the continued growth of the company. They are: Will Albers as Vice President of Sourcing/Asia Operations, Bob Byrne as Vice President of Design and Development and Jim Peliotes as Vice President of Marketing. The three have become a part of an expanded team at Heelys, Inc. to ensure the company continues to meet the customer demand of wheeled footwear.
“In just a few short months, our new vice presidents have been critical in the marketing, design, manufacturing and delivery of Heelys products, while maintaining the highest quality standards for our customers,” says Mike Staffaroni, Heelys, Inc. CEO.
Mr. Albers has over 24 years of experience in sourcing, manufacturing, and product development in the footwear industry including 9+ years working with key partners in China, Taiwan and Korea. He has worked for Nike, Nautica Footwear, Endicott Johnson Corporation, and as Director of Footwear Development at Pony International before joining Heelys. Will explains, “Providing a focused approached to our sourcing and manufacturing process while maintaining our high quality standards of the Heelys brand will be my top priority. Our consumers and retail partners expect the right product, at the right time.”
Mr. Byrne brings almost 20 years of footwear design and product development experience to Heelys. Bob has worked at L.A. Gear, Edge Quest, and most recently as a Director at Skechers USA. Bobs extensive knowledge of product development, design, and manufacturing will be instrumental as he continues to provide consumers with the best performing products. “Translating the emotional consumer needs and current trends to the Heelys product line will be exciting and rewarding. If it is fun, we are going to make it,” explains Bob.
Mr. Peliotes joins Heelys with over 17 years of consumer packaged goods marketing experience in creating and driving brand value. Jim has held progressive leadership roles in marketing with Kimberly-Clark Corporation, Diageo, and most recently at Easton-Bell Sports where he served as a Business Unit Manager responsible for marketing, product development, and creative services. Jim says, “The Heelys brand will continue to provide consumers with opportunities that promote a healthy, active lifestyle in a manner that creates individual excitement, fun, and self-expression.”
