Tom O’Riordan Joins American Sporting Goods as CEO…

Tom O’Riordan, the former COO of Fila USA, has taken the reins at American Sporting Goods as CEO, effective March 12, 2007. O’Riordan, who has also purchased an equity position in the company, replaces Kevin Wulff, the former Nike exec that recently exited as ASG chief executive.
Mr. O’Riordan has a long history with Jerry Turner, the founder and chairman of American Sporting Goods, going back to the old Brooks days. O’Riordan told SEW that Turner actually gave him his first job in the industry when he graduated from college 29 years ago.
