Goody’s Family Clothing total sales for the fiscal month of February 2005 were $80.5 million, an increase of 4.4% from total sales of $77.1 million for the fiscal month of February 2004. Total sales were on plan for the first month of fiscal 2005. Comparable store sales for February 2005 decreased 0.8% from February 2004.
As previously announced, the Company plans to open a new store in Cleburne, Texas, and will hold the grand opening of a relocated store in Gadsden, Alabama, on March 10, 2005. The Company will also open three new stores in Madison, Indiana, and Mount Vernon and Pekin, Illinois, and hold the grand opening of a relocated store in Beckley, West Virginia, on March 24, 2005.
