Fischer Skis US LLC announced several new staff positions and the formal opening of a Salt Lake City Showroom Space.
“What we’re aiming for is a previously unseen level of service and support in the industry,“ said CEO Ryan Leach. ”We will devote significant resources to further develop a market leading alpine position to match our category leading nordic position with an aim to deepen our boot, binding, pole and branded accessory business. These key hires and new space will support that effort.”
Three new hires include Mike Wagner to the newly created position of competition coordinator. A thirty-year veteran of the industry, Wagner brings insights from a wealth of perspectives, having worked closely with wax and tool manufacturing and supported athletes across all levels of competition through a variety of roles.
“From World Cup and Olympic Race Service, to coaching and being the parent of ski racers, he brings not only years of experience, but a wider perspective to the role of Competition Services,” said Leach.
In addition to Wagner, Neil Totman assumed the role of New England sales representative. And joining Totman and Wagner is Kevin Warnock, who becomes Mid-Atlantic sales representative.
The Atlantic Sport Group will expand their Nordic coverage to include and grow the remainder of New York, along with New Jersey, Pennsylvania and West Virginia. Principal and founder Harold Mullens said, “Fischer has been one of our key vendor partners for over 25 years and we look forward to expanding our coverage and helping Mid-Atlantic retailers grow the lead Nordic brand.
Finally, Fischer Skis US LLC will open a Western Showroom, training room and office space at 301 Rio Grande. “It adds a critical location where we need it in the heart of the Rocky Mountain West,” said Director of Business Development Scott Ford, who will be based out of the Salt Lake office. The space will operate year-round, serving as a key meeting spot for staff, media and athletes.
