DSW Inc. reported a comparable store sales increase of 11.6% for the month of January. Net sales for the four weeks increased 23.0% to $71.6 million from $58.2 million last year.
For the fourth quarter ended January 28, 2006, the Company reported a comparable store sales increase of 11.3%. Net sales for the fourth quarter increased 22.5% to $283.8 million from $231.7 million last year.
Comparable store sales increased 5.4% for the year ended January 28, 2006. Net sales for the year increased 19.0% to $1.14 billion from $961.1 million last year.
Historically, the company provided monthly comparable store sales results. As previously announced, beginning in fiscal 2006 the company will only report comparable store sales results on a quarterly basis.
