Columbia Sportswear said it is collaborating with fashion designer Jeffrey Kalinsky, founder of legendary New York luxury boutique Jeffrey New York and the executive vice president of merchandising for Nordstrom.
The partnership will result in a line of five mens products – priced between $180 and $495 – to be sold in mid-September at Jeffrey New York and five Nordstrom locations: Seattle; Bellevue, Wash.; Chicago; Bloomington, Minn.; and McLean, Va.
The small line of includes a down jacket and vest, fleece jacket and pullover, and a “street-worthy” hiking boot. In a statement, Columbia President and CEO Tim Boyle described the line as “premium simplicity” adding, “the collaboration with Jeffrey has really turned out to be a natural fit. It amplifies the best of Columbia and Jeffrey. Were thrilled to be able to create an elevated, luxurious product that will blend with the performance needs and aesthetic standards of Jeffrey’s discerning, urban clients.”
