The Columbia Sportswear Company has signed a license agreement with World Wide Cycle Supply giving WWCS the rights to design, manufacture, and market outdoor bikes and bike accessories with the Columbia name. WWCS will manage distribution and plans on selling the line into sporting goods retailers and specialty bike shops alike with availability scheduled for spring 2006.
The collection will include hardtail and dual suspension mountain bikes, comfort bikes, hybrid bikes, road bikes, cruisers, and youth models. Bike accessories planned include saddles, bike pumps, and water bottles.
