FORTUNE Small Business Magazine has named Collegiate Pacific to its 2004 list of America's Fastest Growing Small Companies. Coming in at number 24 on the FSB 100 list; it was the highest ranking sporting goods company on the 2004 list. The criteria for the ranking includes earnings growth, revenue growth, and stock performance over the past three years. The FSB list will appear in the July/August edition of FORTUNE Small Business Magazine, available on the newsstands July 5, 2004.
Adam Blumenfeld, President of Collegiate Pacific, commented: “We are honored to have been selected by FORTUNE Small Business Magazine as one of the 100 fastest growing companies in America. It is a testament to each of our hard working and talented employees that the Company has enjoyed average annual organic growth rates for the last three fiscal years of approximately 25%. We aim to continue this trend in years to come, and will be augmenting this organic growth platform with newly acquired Tomark Sports and Kesslers Team Sports, as well as Dixie Sporting Goods — set to close within 60 days. The combination of these three properties alongside our existing business yields a company of more than $90 Million in annualized sales — up from $23 Million as of Dec. 31, 2003. Collegiate will emerge from this acquisition-related activity free of debt; with a sizeable untapped credit facility. This financial strength serves us well as we continue to review a full pipeline of distribution and product-oriented targets.”
