The sponsorship agreement between Lotto Sport Italia and Sochaux-Montbéliard is now official: up until 2009, Lotto will be the “Technical Sponsor and Official Supplier” of the Sochaux team. According to the agreement, Lotto will be providing all of the club's teams, from its professional to its youth ones, with the kit and accessories for matches, training and leisure time. All the teams will also wear Lotto boots, with the exception of the first team only.

During the press conference of today, June 24th at Sochaux, the entire new shirt collection was shown, as created in close collaboration between Lotto and the Sochaux club. As expected, each item respects the club's traditional colors.

The team's main shirt, which is round-neck and yellow, has its stitching, numbering and name all in blue. The shorts are either blue or yellow. The second shirt, reserved for away matches, is white with blue stitching, while the shorts are white or blue. For the third kit, the shirt and shorts are both blue with yellow stitching.

It's interesting to note that these shirts – which will feature in Lotto's 2004/2005 winter collection – are made of soft, light poly tech stretch fabric, to always ensure maximum performance.

Founded in 1928, Sochaux is not just one of France's historic, and therefore famous, clubs but continues to rank among its top few. The club's more recent successes in the 2003-2004 football season include a League Cup victory, as well as qualifying for the next UEFA Cup.

Andrea Tomat, President of Lotto Sport Italia, announced, “This agreement bears witness to our growing interest in national and international football. We are very proud to associate our brand with this French club, which has consistently upheld tradition, quality and passion for football. The coming seasons will allow us to experience some of the new and exciting premier league ventures, alongside Sochaux.”

Jean-Claude Plessis, President of the Sochaux-Montbéliard Football Club, has underlined “the important role played by Sochaux within the commercial strategies of world-renowned Lotto”, congratulating also on “the additional commercial opportunities which will arise from this partnership”.
