Hestra-Handsken AB has appointed Anton Magnusson as managing director for Hestra Gloves. Magnusson is one of two master certified glove cutters in Scandinavia and the fourth generation of the Magnusson family to assume leadership of Hestra.

OIA Protests Tariff Threats

Patricia Rojas-Ungar, vice president of government affairs at Outdoor Industry Association (OIA), issued a statement criticizing the Trump administration’s threat to raise tariffs higher and order U.S. companies to exit China. 

Anta’s First-Half Profits Soar

Anta Sports Products Ltd. reported net earnings rose 27.7 in the first half as sales grew more than 40 percent. Ding Shizhong, Chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO of Anta Group, said, “In the first half of 2019, the company maintained a high growth in its performance due to the goodwill of Anta brand, Fila brand and other brands.”

Outdoor Retailer Combines Winter Shows In January

Outdoor Retailer, in concert with the Outdoor Industry Association (OIA), as well as key brands and advising retailers, announced it will not produce Winter Market, scheduled for November 5-7, 2019. The show will be united with the Snow Show, creating the Outdoor + Snow Show, scheduled for January 29-31, 2020 at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver, bringing the entirety of the community together.

NOLS Appoints New Trustees
