Cannondale Sports Group has named Cadence Cycling & Multisport Centers as a dealer. Cadence provides cycling and multisport coaching, physiological testing, and retail product in New York City and Philadelphia.

“The decision to strike a new dealer agreement is never taken lightly by Cadence,” said Matt Heitmann, president and co-founder of Cadence Cycling & Multisport Centers, LLC. “We make it a point to sell best of breed products that demonstrate true technological advantage and which represent the highest quality standards. New brands must also uphold the same kind of reverence for customer service as Cadence.”

Heitmann further acknowledged that the decision to bring Cannondale into Cadence retail locations was driven by a desire to reach a broader customer base without diluting Cadence’s brand. “We feel that Cannondale, although one of the true industry giants, still cherishes boutique brand values. Of the really big manufacturers, from Cadence’s perspective Cannondale was the one that clearly stands out as compatible with our brand. And, the fact that Cannondale like Cadence is originally a Pennsylvania-based company just adds an additional level of synergy.”

Having Cannondale in its stables, Cadence will be able to offer new and existing customers a broader range of price points than previously available. Cadence will also now be able to provide a wider range of products. With Cannondale’s unprecedented reputation for building world class mountain bikes, Cadence will for the first time in its history have the opportunity to offer a comprehensive range of high quality mountain bikes to their customers. Cadence will also offer the full range of Cannondale’s road bikes starting with the CAAD9 and strongly endorses Cannondale’s full carbon Slice time trial / triathlon frameset and Super Six technology, bikes used by one of the world's leading professional cycling team, Liquigas.

“This new partnership should reconfirm to our dealers and our customers that Cannondale remains dedicated to the same principles on which Cannondale was founded, specifically, innovation and quality,” said Dave Manchester, SVP of Cannondale. “Cadence is known throughout the industry as a trend setter providing the best in customer service, coaching offerings, and product. The similarities are obvious. This new agreement with Cadence elevates both of our brands, and will boost sales and recognition for both of our companies.”

Cadence opend its New York City location in July 2007 with the goal of setting a new standard and direction for high-end products, world-class coaching and first-class customer service for cyclists and triathletes of all abilities – from beginners to elite and professional athletes.  Cadence coaches athletes throughout the world – from weekend warriors to professionals.
