Camber Outdoors, the active-outdoor industries organization that elevates and accelerates women’s leadership and participation in the outdoors, is now receiving applications for the 2018 Professional Mentoring Program. Eligible candidates must apply by October 6, 2017.
The Camber Outdoors Professional Mentoring Program is the only cross-company, cross-industry mentoring initiative in the active-outdoor industries that facilitates one-on-one learning and leadership development opportunities between manager/director-level women and executive-level women.
“Mentoring is a proven strategy for reducing turnover, increasing employee commitment, and retaining great talent at companies worldwide,” said Deanne Buck, executive director of Camber Outdoors. “Mentees in our program experience significant career growth and professional success – and they contribute to the strength and vitality of our industries.”
Now in its fourth year, the Professional Mentoring Program has served more than 100 mentees and 60 mentors since its beginning. Eligible mentees must currently be employed in the active-outdoor industries, have at least three years of experience, manage direct reports, and commit to a nine-month mentoring relationship.
