<span style="color: #808080;">Brooks Beasts set a new world record of 16 minutes, 3.68 seconds in the 4×1 relay crushing the Hoka NJ-NY Track Club at the Dr. Sander Invitational last week breaking the American best time – indoor or outdoor – set by Athletics West in 1984 with a time of 16:08.54.
The Brooks team, David Ribich, Henry Wynne, Brannon Kidder and Izaic Yorks, pictured above, each took the baton around The Armory track. “Setting the world’s best time is an affirmation of all of our hard work, and it’s a spark for what’s to come for the rest of the year, said Yorks.
Yorks is the veteran of the team having won a silver medal in the 1,500-meter at the 2018 U.S. Outdoor Track and Field Championships. This is David Ribich’s first professional track season. The 1-mile personal records for the Beasts relay team are Brannon Kidder, 3:56.06, David Ribich, 3:58.09, Henry Wynne, 3:55.23, and Izaic Yorks, 3:53.4.
