Brian Anderson has resigned as CEO of scooter company Madd Gear North America to pursue other opportunities. Michael Horne, global CEO of Madd Gear Action Sports and the company’s Australian founder, has assumed the role of CEO of the North American business.

Anderson, who joined the company in 2010, has overseen substantial growth in Madd Gears business in the U.S. and Canada.

Running Madd Gears business in The Americas has been a fantastic experience, said Anderson.  We developed a solid operational and financial platform, marketed the brand successfully, built significant retail distribution and grew sales substantially.

Anderson continued, I have thoroughly enjoyed focusing on young consumers and building a great team of people to carry the business forward. The company is in great hands under Mikes leadership.

Anderson previously served as president of EB Sport Group, president of Sportline, SVP of global sales and marketing at 180s, and held various roles outside of the sports industry.
