Grassroots Outdoor Alliance top-line sales reports for member retailers show a 5.8 percent increase in April, extending a growth trend buoyed by increases in five out of the last six months. The group reports 3.6 percent overall growth since January 1 and a 2.5 percent increase nationally over the last 12 months.

Father’s Day Spending Expected To Reach All-Time High Of $16 Billion

Americans are expected to spend more than ever on gifts for Father’s Day this year, according to the National Retail Federation’s annual survey conducted by Prosper Insight & Analytics. Total spending for the holiday is estimated to reach $16 billion, up from last year’s $15.3 billion, and spending on sporting goods is expected to hit $822 million.

Designer Brands Inc, formerly DSW Inc., raised its full-year guidance after reporting adjusted earnings in the first quarter rose 10.3 percent increase on a 23.4 percent revenue gain. Comparable sales increased 3.0 percent following a 2.2 percent increase in the first quarter of fiscal 2018.

Sportsman’s Warehouse’s Q1 Falls Short Of Guidance

Sportsman’s Warehouse Holdings Inc. slightly reduced its outlook for the year after results in the first quarter ended May 4 missed plan.
