Arc’teryx, which recently announced plans to launch its first line of footwear, has leased space for a store in uptown Minneapolis for what would be its second brand store on U.S. soil, according to reports by local media.

The space is located at Calhoun Square in uptown Minneapolis, directly across the street from The North Face and Columbia stores.

Based in North Vancouver, BC, Arc’teryx is owned by Amer Sports, which has identified growing apparel, footwear and direct-to-consumer sales as key growth strategies. Amer Sports also owns Atomic, Mavix, Salomon and Suunto and Wilson brands.

Arc’teryx has a store in Montreal, a factory outlet store in North Vancouver and recently opened its first brand store in the United States in Seattle. The company opened a brand store in London last year. It also operates two stores in Korea and Tokyo and one each in Singapore and Zurich, Switzerland.
