ShopKo Stores, Inc. announced thirty-four companies have been selected to receive ShopKo’s 2003 Vendor of the Year awards. Two awards were presented in the sports-related area, with American Sporting Goods receiving the award for “Active Shoes” and Icon Health & Fitness nabbed honors for “Sporting Goods”.
According to Sam Duncan, president and chief executive officer of Shopko Stores, Inc., the awards are presented annually to companies that demonstrate exceptional product or service innovation along with a professional attitude.
“This prestigious award recognizes the partnership that must exist between us and our suppliers to allow us to exceed customer expectations in assortment, service and value,” said Duncan. “These Vendor of the Year honorees have demonstrated an exceptional ability to join ShopKo in maintaining high product quality, driving sales and delivering customer satisfaction.”
