adidas has ventured onto Toronto's fashionable Queen Street with the official opening of the first adidas
Originals store in the city. Located at 389 Queen Street West, the latest adidas Originals store addition occupies a total of 2,240 square feet.

After opening Canada's first adidas Originals store in Vancouver, store sales “exceeded expectations by double-digits” and Vancouver is currently the second highest-performing store in North America. Overall Originals sales in British Columbia are up by 35% in 2006. The Toronto store is expected to “assist in the continued growth and success of Originals sales in Canada and also perform as one of North America's leading stores,” the company said in a release.

“Based on the worldwide success of the Originals store, we are excited about launching a second location in Canada and making authentic leisurewear available to a diverse portfolio of consumers from the skateboarder to the
metropolitan trendsetter to the outdoor adventurer,” said Jim Gabel, President, adidas Canada. “Whether it's a cool pair of sneakers or stocking the newest designs in sportswear and urban street styles, the Originals store
will definitely add fresh style to Toronto's retail landscape and offer items you won't find anywhere else.”
