Granite Gear has hired Clay Hundley as sales representative supporting the South Central U.S. region, including Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, and Oklahoma. Hundley is the principal of New River Sales based in Houston, Texas.
Hundley has experience in diverse aspects of the outdoor and sports industry that range from manufacturing and inventory management to customer service and training. For the last five years, Hundley has been expanding New River Sales representation in the South Central region. Prior to working as an independent sales rep, Hundley owned and operated three backpacking outfitter stores.
“Partnering with Hundley will help strengthen Granite Gear's presence in the South,” said John Cron, national sales manager, Granite Gear. “His prior retail experience, sales expertise and passion for the outdoors matches Granite Gear's business philosophy.”
Hundley grew up in North Carolina, frequenting the Appalachian and Smokey Mountains. He is an avid hiker, backpacker, kayaker and mountain biker and holds an ex-ranger affiliation with the Air Force. Hundley is a member of the Sierra Club.
