Vista Outdoor Inc. Chairman and CEO Mark DeYoung has been named as a finalist for EY's Entrepreneur of the Year award for the Utah region.
“I'm honored to be selected as a finalist for this prestigious award,” said DeYoung, pictured to the right. “I'm a firm believer that if you love what you're doing, you will be successful. That's what makes being CEO of Vista Outdoor so exciting. I'm a lifelong outdoorsman, and every day I get to wake up and think about sharing my passion with outdoor enthusiasts through quality, innovative products. Our mission is to bring the world outside, and we've assembled a highly experienced team that embraces that mission and delivers results. Becoming a finalist is a testament to the efforts of all of Vista Outdoor's employees.”
DeYoung was selected as a finalist by a panel of independent judges for his commitment to innovation, financial performance and community service. Now in its 29th year, the EY Entrepreneur of the Year program has expanded to recognize business leaders in more than 145 cities in more than 60 countries throughout the world.
Award winners will be announced at a special event on June 2, 2015 at The Grand America Hotel in Salt Lake City.
