Flight 23, a partnership between Foot Locker’s Footaction chain and Nike’s Jordan brand that sells only Jordan merchandise, plans to open a 36,000-square-foot retail store in Chicago.
The store replaces a Forever 21 at 34 S. State St. and expects to open in June 2015, according to property owner Thor Equities said.
“There is nothing more quintessentially Chicago than Michael Jordan – and Thor is thrilled to bring the iconic sports hero’s unique and dynamic brand to a premier retail location in the city where he cemented his championship legacy,” Joe Sitt, CEO of Thor Equities told the Chicago Tribune.
Flight 23 only has one location, opened in February 2014 on West 34th Street between 7th and 8th Avenues – one block from Madison Square Garden.
