City Sports will open its new flagship Georgetown store at 3338 M Street on Tuesday, Dec. 14th, at 10 a.m. with a day-long grand opening event. Deals include over $10,000 in gift bag giveaways, $3,000 in shopping spree giveaways, and hourly in-store raffles to help celebrate the Georgetown opening.
Additionally, City Sports will give back to the community by donating funds to three area charitable organizations through the end of the year.
“To open a store in the heart of DC, we feel it's paramount to celebrate the people and causes that make this city so vibrant, something key to City Sports' own brand DNA,” said City Sports President and CEO Jeff Connor. “Our goal for the flagship store is to truly become a part of the Georgetown community, and that's reflected in our grand opening activities.”
Grand opening events scheduled include:
* Grand Opening Shopping Spree & Gift Bag Giveaway
o The first 50 people through the doors of the new City Sports on December 14th will each receive a gift bag worth over $250, loaded with product giveaways and the chance to instantly win one of three $500 City Sports shopping sprees.
* Raffles
o From 4 p.m. to close, shoppers will have a chance to instantly win quality raffle items every hour. Raffle items include jackets from The North Face, RayBan and Oakley Sunglasses, Polar Heart Rate Monitors, $250 shopping sprees and more!
* Gift Bag-a-Day Giveaway
o For shoppers who missed a chance at a stocked gift bag on Tuesday, additional gift bags and $250 shopping sprees will be given away daily through the end of the week.
In addition to the week's events, City Sports has pledged to donate $1 for every shopper who checks out of the Georgetown store through the end of the year to one of its three chosen local charitable organizations: Potomac Riverkeeper, Trips for Kids, and Washington Area Bicyclist Association.
