The Buckle, Inc. saw March comps jump 20.9% over the year-ago period. Net sales for the five-week fiscal month ended April 5, 2008 increased 28.7% to $63.6 million from net sales of $49.4 million last year.
Comparable store net sales year-to-date for the nine-week period ended April 5, 2008 increased 22.4% from comparable store net sales for the nine-week period ended April 7, 2007. Net sales for the nine-week fiscal period ended April 5, 2008 increased 30.0% to $113.3 million from net sales of $87.1 million for the prior year nine-week fiscal period ended April 7, 2007.
