Mountain Hardwear Inc. appointed Donna Williams to the new position of eastern regional sales manager starting on October 25th. Williams will continue to be located in the Boston area and will be responsible for managing all Mountain Hardwear sales and sales territories east of the Rockies. With over 16 years of experience in the outdoor industry, Williams has held a variety of key positions relating to sales.
She comes to Mountain Hardwear from Swix Sport where she was the apparel sales director. She has also held
sales positions at Saucony /Hind and Pearl Izumi after she earned her BA in communications from Fitchburg State College in Massachusetts. Williams enjoys a broad range of outdoor activities including skiing, road and mountain biking, kayaking and running.
Brad Bates who has held the position of national sales manager since 2003, will now focus on the critical western territories as well as REI. Both Williams and Bates will report directly to Mike Wallenfels, president of the company.
“After a number of months of searching, I am very pleased to announce this new appointment. Donnas accumulated experience working within the outdoor, snowsport, and athletic markets will provide us with a valuable resource. She also has a strong affinity toward specialty oriented retailers and products which we see as a strong match for a brand like Mountain Hardwear,” said Wallenfels.
