ZOIC Clothing named avid mountain biker Matt Manuel to its team as Sales Manager and tasked him with expanding awareness and adoption of ZOIC's comprehensive line of men's and women's shorts and
jerseys among bike dealers. Matt will achieve this through both direct selling and driving the expansion of ZOIC's independent rep force.
Matt comes to ZOIC and the bike business from the footwear industry where he served the last 6 years as territory manager Southwest Region for Birkenstock USA. Prior to Birkenstock Matt worked in sales for Osiris and before that as store mnager for Chauncey's Surf Shop in Maryland. These experiences working in and with independent
retailers informed Matt's understanding of their daily operations and the challenges they face, enhancing his sales effectiveness.

“At Birkenstock I became a valued consultant to our dealers as I helped them plan and manage our business together, which proved a key ingredient in our mutual success. My goal at ZOIC is to work
with bike shop owners and managers in a similar fashion, developing programs and tools for these dealers and our sales reps that deliver increased sales and profits.”

Eric Swenson, President of ZOIC observed, “We acquired ZOIC in late 2009 with a plan to invest in the brand and accelerate sales growth. The best place to start is with solid people who share the same vision, are passionate about cycling, are excited about the ZOIC culture and want to make a positive impact on our business. Matt fits every one
of these criteria and we are very excited to have him on board helping to build our business and support our dealers.”

In the coming weeks Matt will introduce himself to key dealers and rep candidates throughout the US, spreading the ZOIC message of comfortable, versatile cycling apparel and presenting the Spring/Summer 2011 Collection for preseason ordering.
Meanwhile the 2011 women's program will reflect a heightened attention to the demands and desires of female cyclists by offering new styles and expanded colorways that result in greater product versatility and exhaustive mix-and-match outfit pairings. More about the ZOIC Ppring/Summer 2011 Collection and related dealer programs will be announced in coming weeks.
