Zoic Clothing has sponsored Biking for a Better World, Inc. through outfitting a four man bicycling team pedaling from Purdue Bay, Alaska to Ushuaia, Argentina. Beginning on June 15th, 2007, this team will begin their 16,000 mile journey, riding unsupported, towing trailers with their gear. Their goal is to positively affect the communities that will become their hosts along their route.

Jake Spero, President of Biking for a Better World said, “The team is using the tour to raise funds and awareness to help build a school in Nicaragua in the summer of 2007. We have raised $15,000 towards our $25,000 goal. This fundraising endeavor is the first of our newly-formed Lake Tahoe based non profit organization, Biking for a Better World, Inc.”

“Biking for a Better World and their passions on and off the bike, is a perfect fit for the philanthropic efforts of ZOIC Clothing, and is exactly the type of opportunity we cherish to be part of”, said Eric Swenson from ZOIC. “We need to raise awareness for their work, outfitting them is the easy part.”
