A powerful weekend snowstorm left all 21 Colorado Ski Country USA (CSCUSA) member ski areas and resorts with fresh powder and great conditions ahead of what is historically the heaviest month for snowfall in the state.
Sixteen resorts recorded more than a foot of new snow in the last 72 hours, with resorts in southwest Colorado especially hard-hit by this storm. Wolf Creek Ski Area has received 34 inches of new snow since the storm arrived on Friday, with potentially another foot and a half still to come by Tuesday. Monarch and Purgatory at Durango Mountain Resort each recorded 21 inches, Silverton measured 20 inches, and Telluride received 18 inches.

Colorado’s central mountains also saw heavy accumulation from the multi-day storm, as Snowmass recorded 19 inches of powder. Aspen Mountain and Sunlight Mountain resort each measured 15 inches, and Crested Butte, Aspen Highlands, and Buttermilk all saw 13 inches of new snow.
Further north, Steamboat accumulated 21 inches of powder over the course of the storm, while Howelsen and Eldora each received 12 inches. Winter Park recorded 10.5 inches of new snow, and Ski Granby Ranch measured a storm total of 9 inches so far.
Along the I-70 corridor, Copper Mountain and Loveland each welcomed a foot of fresh powder while Powderhorn saw 9 inches and Arapahoe Basin and Ski Cooper each measured 8 inches.
Conditions throughout Colorado Ski Country will remain excellent all week, as new snow is in the forecast every day through Friday, Feb. 27.
