AVP, Inc., a lifestyle sports entertainment company focused on professional beach volleyball, announced a  five-year contract extension with Wilson as the “official game ball” of the AVP. The long-term deal extends through the 2012 season of the AVP Crocs Tour.
 
Along with the exclusive sponsorship in the game ball category, the deal gives the Wilson brand and its products a significant on-site presence throughout the next five seasons of the AVP Crocs Tour, including a display booth, outer and inner court signage, marketing support, branding and onsite sponsorship activation.
 
“After 11 years of a successful partnership, it was only natural that we would extend our relationship with the AVP through 2012,” said Chris Considine, president for Wilson Sporting Goods Co. “We look forward to growing our relationship with the AVP, its players, and its fans throughout the next five years.”

Highlights of the deal include:
 
·         Five-year sponsor exclusivity (2008-2012) as the official game ball of the AVP Crocs Tour
·         Co-branded general market local advertising program, AVP.com programming, DiG magazine advertising, product packaging, and onsite activation
·         Use of AVP marks (name, logos, photos), net systems license, AVP-branded Beach Game Ball, AVP.com benefits, inclusion in AVP.com marketing materials, onsite signage, onsite retail sales, tickets and hospitality
·         Center Court public address announcements and promotions, as well as AVPNext / Grassroots support
 
Featuring more than 150 of the top American men and women competitors in the sport, the AVP Crocs Tour is set to stage 18 outdoor events throughout the United States throughout the summer of 2008.
