Wigwam Mills Inc., the family-owned manufacturer of U.S.-made socks since 1905, announced that Dana Gibson has joined the company as director of sales. She will primarily oversee the East Coast and Midwest sales agencies and several key accounts.

Gibson comes to Wigwam with extensive leadership and sales experience in the hosiery, shoe and active apparel industry, most recently with Leg Apparel and Gildan. Before her sales career, Gibson served as a corporal in the U.S. Marine Corps.

“I’ve always admired Wigwam’s longstanding heritage for superior quality and being a strong domestic brand for retail partners, but what I’m most passionate about is being involved with a brand that offers leading technologies in moisture control and now in fit,” said Gibson. “With SynchroKnit hitting the market this month, I am so excited to introduce it to more retailers and get it on customers who want a superior fitting performance sock.”

“Dana joined us at the beginning of December, and she hit the ground running. Everybody in the sock business knows the Wigwam brand, but they are not necessarily aware of the advancements we’ve made recently in performance, fit and in good looking styles for outdoor sports and lifestyle,” said Brad Bates, vice president of sales and marketing. “Dana is a natural at cultivating long term partnerships with retailers, and that will serve Wigwam well as we grow Wigwam to the next level. “

Gibson will attend January 2020 Outdoor Retailer show in Denver, where Wigwam will debut its first fall/winter SynchroKnit collection which will be available at retail in September 2020.
