Whyte, the British bike brand, announced that Ross Patterson, its long-serving international sales director, will be stepping down at the end of October. Colleague Michelle Lee will succeed him.
Patterson has worked for 36 years, most of his professional career, at Whyte and its former entity, ATB Sales.
“I want to pay tribute to the exceptional service that Ross has given Whyte bikes over his 36 years with the business,” said Nikki Hawyes, Whyte’s CEO. “Although his dedication and passion for the success of the Whyte brand will be missed, he’ll always be a part of the Whyte family.”
“I will be leaving my role as International Sales Director with Whyte at the end of October and making a big change to my work-life balance,“ explained Patterson of his decision. After 36 full years, it’s time to step back, refocus, take some time off, and head for the hills on my new ELyte.
“I am convinced the brand is now on the right path and, once the current market conditions improve, will go from strength to strength. I will be remaining a part of the extended Whyte family, cheering on from the sidelines and standing ready to assist if required.”
