Walden Kayaks is pleased to welcome two experienced sales representatives to the Walden Kayaks team, Don Otey and Ethan Ebersold.

Don Otey is delighted that Walden Kayaks is a small family run business and is encouraged to see dedicated people offering a quality product at a good price. Don says, “I was impressed with Jeffrey DeSantis, Bill Hearn, and everyone that I met at Walden Kayaks, especially with their positive approach to overcoming some of the inherited challenges of the business.”

Don will represent Walden Kayaks in the Mid-Atlantic region including Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, New York, West Virginia, and Washington, D.C.

Don adds, “Walden Kayaks has the kind of focus that is needed in the paddlesports market right now, one without corporate pressure, with scale and focus on doing a few things very right. Walden Kayaks does not have its sights set on being the biggest recreational kayak manufacturer, but rather one of the best in providing quality recreational kayaks, something we can all be proud of.”

Walden Kayaks is also pleased to announce that Ethan Ebersold has joined as the western sales representative. Ethan is proud to represent Walden Kayaks. Ethan promotes just-in-time inventory, working from his west coast warehouse, which allows his dealers to grow their business with better inventory control and lower risk. Ethan also enjoys supporting dealers paddlesports events and demos, putting tons of miles on his truck while traveling from his home base in Oregon to Northern California, Washington, Idaho, and Montana.

Ethan says, “I am delighted that Walden Kayaks is now a paddler owned company, and I am excited to have a new partnership with an organic company like Walden Kayaks, one that shares my conscience for recycling and protecting the planet.”
